ITB has been finding creative and innovative ways to help in their showroom areas of Torbay, Bridgwater and Melksham.
These include donating materials to schools to help with sensory skills. Our products and packaging can be used as part of childrens sensory play which encourages discovery and independent thinking, as well as inspiring imagination and creativity.
Duncan Haddrell, CEO, said, “Using our local connections, we have been reaching out to schools to see how we can help children during this extremely difficult time. We are so pleased and feel incredibly proud to be able to provide items that can aid a child’s development. Our mission is to offer local support and be part of our community not just a business.”
ITB launched a new scheme aimed at helping struggling sports clubs by paying 20% of their customers’ bills to their chosen club. This is now being extended to associations throughout our showroom areas such as; theatre groups, reading clubs, choirs, etc.
The local business has been particularly saddened by the news that more people than ever before are visiting food banks. In 2020 more than £160,000 food vouchers were given to people suffering financial hardship in the South West – a rise of 20,000 from the previous year.
ITB are now supporting Paignton Academy School by supporting 15 local families in the Bay area with a weekly shop to buy food and drop it off at the Paignton Academy School Food Bank.
International Tiles CEO, Duncan Haddrell, said: “The events of the past year have created additional challenges for lots of people. Supporting our local communities has never been more important and we’re delighted to have been able to help.
Whilst ITB strive to support local causes, they are also still supporting the national charities and continue to support Macmillan Cancer Research, Children in Need and Oxfam.
And we’re always keen to do more and are always looking for volunteers so please give us a call.
